About us

Making digital healthcare less confusing, less exclusionary, and more respectful

Morrowgrid Health was founded on a simple belief: the people navigating healthcare deserve digital tools that work as hard as they do.

Our story

Why we exist

Morrowgrid Health was founded in 2019 by Eleanor Hayes, who spent over a decade watching patients, caregivers, and providers struggle with digital health tools that were technically functional but humanly broken. Portals that required health literacy most people don't have. Forms that assumed everyone has 30 minutes and perfect vision. Workflows that made sense to engineers but left patients confused and abandoned.

The problem was not that health technology lacked features. It lacked empathy. It was designed for systems, not for the people who depend on those systems during some of the most stressful moments of their lives.

Eleanor gathered a team of accessibility specialists, experience designers, health equity researchers, and technologists who shared her conviction: health technology should meet people where they are. Not where systems wish they were. Not where engineers assume they are. Where people actually are—navigating care while managing chronic conditions, caring for family members, working multiple jobs, or simply trying to understand their benefits.

Today, Morrowgrid Health partners with health systems, health plans, and public health organizations to design, build, and improve digital platforms that are accessible, understandable, and respectful of the people who use them. We measure success not in features shipped, but in tasks completed, confusion reduced, and trust built.

What guides us

Our values

The principles that shape every decision we make and every product we build.

People first, always

Every design decision starts with the people who will use it. We prioritize clarity, dignity, and respect over technical cleverness or business convenience.

Accessibility is non-negotiable

Inclusive design is not a feature we add—it is the foundation everything else is built on. We design for the widest possible range of human ability and circumstance.

Transparency and honesty

We are clear about what we can and cannot do. We document our processes, share our reasoning, and measure outcomes we can verify—not claims we cannot support.

Equity through evidence

We center the voices of people historically excluded from health technology design. Our research and testing include diverse populations, languages, and access needs.

The people behind the work

Our team

Accessibility specialists, designers, researchers, and technologists united by a shared commitment to humane health technology.
